These are covers and adaptions of Dan Croll’s song, Sweet Disarray, which he wrote about a relative who was experiencing memory loss later in life and the challenges associated with that.

I happened to press “reverse” on Soundtrap while editing my cover, just to see what would happen. Curiosity led to some really interesting discoveries about what unusual and surprising emotions could be born out of a new sound. I found out that the reversed track was ethereal, dreamy and calming. This sound inspired the additional harmonies and electronic instruments that I added in.
